The combination and change of Poker & Dice
Poker Dice is a fun, straight-forward and simple game of poker played with a dice. As the name suggests, it is the dice version of the actual card game of poker. A poker dice is different from a regular dice in having representations of playing cards, and not number pips, upon them.
However, just like a regular dice, a poker dice has six sides, representing an Ace, a King, a Queen, a Jack, Ten and Nine.
Poker dice is best played with two or more players and with five dice. As a Poker Dice player, your goal should be to roll the best poker hand. All the participating players have a total of 3 rolls and can hold the dice in between those three rolls. After the three rolls are complete, the best hand wins.
Since a poker dice lacks suits, neither a ‘straight flush’ nor a ‘flush’ is a possible hand. It may be noted here that Marlboro had once marketed a set of octahedral dice. Each die in this set differed slightly in their numberings, which ranged from 7 up to ace. Besides, this set of dice included suits.
At times, Poker Dice is played simply to determine whose responsibility it will be to pick up the tab in a restaurant. In such a case the bill is paid by the person with the worst hand.
